The Olympic Game Farm

If you live in the Seattle area and haven't been to the Olympic Game Farm, then you've truly been missing out on an incredible experience.

Last week we took a camping trip to the Port Angeles/Sequim area. We went through the game farm 3 times. You just can't get enough of it, seriously! It's just amazing to have all these not-so-"wild" animals come up to your car and eat from your hand.

We stocked up on several loaves of cheap bread before we went and still ended up going to Safeway to buy more for our 3rd trip through. And of course I took a billion pictures so I had to pick my favorites. If they seem a bit out of order, they really aren't since we went through 3 times.

Here are the zebras nuzzling each other. This was the first day we went through and they weren't hungry enough to come get the bread from us.

The female elk are definitely the most aggressive of all the animals. They will grab the entire loaf of bread from your lap if you aren't careful!

The little fallow deer are so cute!

"Do not stop in the bison area!" Believe me, there is nothing more alarming than one of these heads in your lap!!

These deer are my favorite. Their antlers are like velvet.

"Give me more bread!"

They also have a little petting zoo with lots of goats.

The goats didn't like Jack very much. Here is Jack waving bye-bye to one of them.

"Anyone in here?"

"Where did all the goats go?"

The next morning we came right at opening time. The animals were waiting for us at the gate to get some food.

The rhino was up walking around the 2nd day too. He has been there 24 years.

The zebras were hungry too the 2nd day we came. In Africa they say they are black with white stripes, while Europeans describe them as white with black stripes.

I got to pet the zebra!!

One of my favorite animals there are the yaks. Kaylyn couldn't quite say "yak" so she'd say, "Come here Mr. Ack!"

Kaylyn feeding the "Ack."

The bears are super cute. Many are retired circus bears, so they do cute tricks for more bread. It worked every time for us!

I loved the one grabbing his feet for his "trick"!

There are literally hundreds of peacocks all over the game farm. And bunnies too, but that's for another post...

"Bye-bye, come again soon!"

Another greedy elk.

One last piece of bread for the deer before we had to go.
