Last night was a very big night for Kaylyn. It was her first swim lesson where she swam WITHOUT Mommy or Daddy!
She did great! There are 2 other girls in her class, and she still has teacher Abby, who she's has for the past 2 swim sessions. It was so fun to just sit on the side and watch her do all the things she's learned, well, since she was 9 months old when she started.
Jack's class is at the same time, so it's so nice to not have swim lessons twice a week. Or like last session when we did them back to back and one of us (usually me) had to chase Jack around the gym for 3o minutes while the other swam with Kaylyn. (Yeah, sounds like fun but believe me it's NOT!)
Jack also had a great swim class. We were debating whether to stop his lessons because he kept screaming bloody murder, so loud that the teacher could barely teach her class. Then we realized what was happening was that he wanted to stay with the person who was "chasing" him for 30 minutes prior to his lesson. So now that no one has to chase him and he gets to go right into the pool, it appears he's back to being a happy swimmer too.
I will try to remember my camera next week and get some pictures of them!
