A couple of weeks ago we were at a friend's house for dinner. Jack and Kaylyn were playing with a train set, when Jack went "Gila" on us and started pulling apart the train tracks...
Kaylyn: "No Jack! You're ruining the train!" (she starts to hit him)
Mommy: "Kaylyn, don't hit your brother. It was just an accident, he didn't mean to ruin the train tracks."
Kaylyn: (mumbling) "Jack, you're such a..."
Mommy: "What was that?"
Kaylyn: (mumbling even quieter) "Jack's such a ...."
Mommy: "Kaylyn, tell me what you just said!"
Kaylyn: "I said, Jack is such an accidenter!"
Kaylyn is really obsessed with numbers and counting. Last night on my lap...
Kaylyn: "Mommy, I'm going to count the buttons on your shirt. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven!"
Mommy: "Good job, that's right!"
Kaylyn: "Now I'll count them in Spanish. Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, ocho, nueve!"
Mommy: "No, cinco, seis, siete..."
Kaylyn: "Oh yeah...cinco, seis, siete!"
Mommy: "Now what comes after siete?"
Kaylyn: "Ummm...one hundred?!?"
Today using a potty at a play date...
Kaylyn: "Wow, this is a really nice toilet!"
Mommy: "Oh yeah, you like it?"
Kaylyn: "Yeah, it has a small hole."
Mommy: "Oh, ok..."
Kaylyn: (after flushing) "Wow, that's a GREAT flush!"
Mommy: (laughing)
Kaylyn: "Mommy, don't laugh at me."
Mommy: "Oh sorry..." (trying not to die of laughter)
