Last night Kaylyn requested a bowl of ice cream for dessert. I took out the ice cream and put it on the counter, and explained to her that it needed to sit there for a little bit to soften. 2 minutes later...
Kaylyn: "Mommy, I think the ice cream is soft now."
Mommy: "No honey, it's not quite ready yet."
Kaylyn: "Is it now?"
Mommy: "No."
Kaylyn: "Is it now?"
Mommy: "No."
Kaylyn: "Now?"
Mommy: "No.
Kaylyn: "Now?"
Mommy: "No!"
Kaylyn: "Now?"
Mommy: "NO!"
Kaylyn: "Now now now now now?"
Mommy: "No Kaylyn, it's not ready yet!..."
Kaylyn (2 seconds later, sheepishly) "Is it ready now?"
