Jackson had his speech evaluation on Monday. He did WONDERFUL! I was so impressed how my little guy sat there and paid so much attention to the speech pathologist. He didn't even hesitate when he walked in the door and was happy the entire time.
As far as the evaluation went, he did really well. He's right on track with his receptive speech. He's only slightly delayed in his expressive speech, but not enough to need any speech therapy! So relieved. The gal gave us some things to work on to get him to talk more, and he's already shown an improvement in the past couple of days!
Two of the biggest things are that he is now saying, "Got it!" This is great because he is putting 2 words together. The other thing he started doing is counting! He just says, "One, two...one, two" but it is obvious he is counting things. Yay!
So he'll go back in 6 months for a recheck, just to make sure he is still improving. But I think in 6 months he is going to be talking up a storm!
