Kaylyn has always been a polite little girl, saying please and thank you and excuse me. But today she really demonstrated how much she understands the importance of manners.
Earlier today, Jack was sticking his tongue out and spitting, being funny. I said, "Jack, don't do that, that's messy." Kaylyn said quietly, "It's also rude."
Then tonight she sat down for dinner, and asked for a napkin. I put a few on the table. She reached over, unfolded one, and gently placed it on her lap! I asked her where she learned to do that. She said, "I just learned it myself. That way if I drop any food, it will land on my napkin instead of my dress."
Polite, and soooooo smart.
