Okay, so I'm a day late...
But we had a really fun day yesterday! Chris had to work, so Grammy and Poppa came over to spend the day with us. Grammy wasn't feeling well, so she and Jack stayed home and took care of the nervous dogs, while Kaylyn, Poppa, and I went to Coulon Park.
We had lots of time to kill before the fireworks, so Kaylyn played on the inflatables and got her face painted. We took a nice walk along the lake, had our dinner, Kaylyn played on the inflatables again, and went to Kidd Valley for hot chocolate and milk shakes.
Then we found a great spot in the grass and listened to a band. Kaylyn made a new friend and they spent about 1-1/2 hours dancing and chasing each other. The fireworks started at about 10:00 -- Kaylyn loved them!
And yes...we did all of this...in the pouring rain. That's Seattle for you. But we had a great time! Kaylyn already asked me today: "When are we going to see the fireworks again?"
